Hi, I'm Virginia and I was lucky enough to do my veterinarian training across three countries; in South America, in Europe and here in the UK, graduating as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1990 and earning my Masters from the University of Aberdeen in 1993.  I started my career in Uruguay where I rapidly progressed and even lectured in Veterinary Practice, before moving to Spain where I set up and ran a successful practice, working predominantly with pets and small animals in the local community.  In 2017 I then completed a post graduate degree in Small Animal Imaging Techniques from the Cardinal Herrera University. I have recently completed my OV Certification, meaning I can assist with Animal Health Certification for pets travelling abroad. I am passionate about helping those members of your family who can't tell you what's wrong; your pets.   I have always held an interest in small animal medicine, whilst my experience in soft tissue surgery has stood me well, particularly in emergency cases. Having settled here in Yorkshire amongst the friendliest people I have had the good fortune to meet, I am delighted to find a home here at Chantry Vets with people with similar values. Outside work I enjoy horse riding and most sports, much to the disapproval of my Yorkshire Terrier, Jacky, a real character who keeps me on my toes.
