Part Time Veterinary Surgeon

A great opportunity has arisen for part-time Vets to work sole charge at one of our branch surgeries.

Here at Chantry Vets, we have been providing excellent Veterinary care to the pets of West Yorkshire for more than 60 years. We have expanded into one of the area’s largest Small Animal practices with 7 branches, extending the range of services in many fields of Veterinary medicine, imaging, and surgery.

There are two roles up for grabs, whichever takes your fancy!

There is a part time role at our Middleton Surgery in Leeds which is an operating branch for routine operations. It would be three days a week working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We can make this role flexible, and you could work some school hour days if that would suit?

Also, another part time role available at our Normanton Surgery either 2 or 3 days a week. It’s a consulting only branch, working job share with an experienced colleague. The position would suit someone who prefers a non-surgical role and enjoys consults.

Both roles would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident at working sole charge and would enjoy running the branch on their own. You would receive client and patient continuity by working at a branch surgery, this creates a stronger bond between you and the clients.

We offer some great benefits as part of the VetPartners family:

  • 6.6 weeks paid holiday including Bank Holidays
  • Opportunity to buy and sell holidays
  • £1750 CPD Allowance per annum – more if a certificate holder
  • HealthShield - wide ranging contributions for health and wellbeing treatments - from dentistry to sports massage
  • RCVS Membership paid
  • Two other membership subscriptions
  • VDS cover
  • Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave and surrogacy pay
  • Discounted Veterinary fees
  • My Benefits - various discounts including retail and gym memberships
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • CPD/training support
  • Company sick pay
  • Colleague engagement survey
  • Annual pay reviews
  • Focus on employee wellbeing
  • Career progression opportunities.

If you are interested in any of the roles, we would love to hear from you. For a confidential discussion or to apply, please speak to our friendly Practice Manager Victoria Lee. Please send a CV with your application.

“I work at Chantry Vets because as cliche as it sounds, no two days are ever the same.  Over the past year I have been challenged in ways I never thought were possible, but every step of the way I have been fully supported by all teams at Chantry whilst I have navigated this new role, with no judgement when I have made mistakes.

I work at Chantry Vets because I feel my knowledge is valued as an RVN with an Advanced Diploma.

It’s a very collaborative environment where nurses’ thoughts and input are listened to and nurses are encouraged to give their opinions and actively participate in case management.  We constantly invest in our nurse training which in turn allows the nursing team to provide great care for our patients”.
