In my spare time, I enjoy running; I completed the Manchester Half Marathon in May last year and I am currently training for the Leeds Half Marathon this May.

Katy Lyons BA (Hons)

Administrator

I began my career at Chantry as a Receptionist at our Alverthorpe Hospital, before moving on to cover our Pontefract Branch. During this time, I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 BA Hons Degree in History and Roman Civilisation. A year later I returned to Chantry as part of the Administrative Team, dealing mainly with client accounts and providing inductions to new members of the Chantry Family. I completed an NVQ in Mental Health Awareness in 2017 and I am currently studying for a Certificate in Business Administration, which I'm hoping to complete this year.  I also oversee the various local shows we attend, providing information and goodie bags to anyone who stops by.  I have a Cockerpoo named Rupert and two rescue cats, Freddie and Barney and hope to add more fur babies to the family soon!

Amanda Walker

Receptionist

I have worked in the Veterinary Industry for nearly 30 years as a Nursing Assistant. I previously worked as a Receptionist at the Alverthorpe Hospital, however I've recently transferred to the Ossett branch. This is a new experience for me and I'm loving working with the varied exotics cases that we see day to day. At home, I live with 5 of my 6 children (they don't seem to want to leave!), plus 3 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats.

Carol Cooper

Receptionist

My name is Carol.  I am full time Receptionist at Chantry Vets at the Pontefract Branch. I worked in Vet practice from 2006 until 2012, then had a break, and worked at a garden centre for a few years, but I missed the Veterinary environment.  When the chance to work for Chantry came up in 2015, I was really pleased to be offered the position; I love the variety of work involved.  I have many years experience in Customer Service and gained my lvl 2 Certificate in this subject in 2017.  At home I love gardening, doing the local pub quizzes, and being mum to my cats, Lucifer, Dali-Sam, Midnight, Bleu, Roux, Pepsi, Bailey, Lilly, Chunky and Mittens (I am the crazy cat lady in my village).  I also love going abroad once a year. I have 2 children, and 4 grandchildren...so not much time for anything else!
